Greetings from the flight deck, it is first officer Jay speaking. Today I have a seven hour flight going to India (VIDP), and then a 37 hour layover with call-ups. Here is the FPL (Flight plan) for today:
EGLL SID BPK UQ295 CLN UL620 ARNEM UP147 RKN UL980 SUI L980 LDZ M70 BEMBI L980 TAMAK
A87 TIROM A645 ATASH A646 ABDAN N644 PARAK J145 DI M875 JHANG A466 SAMAR L509 ASARI

as you can see it will be a straightforward flight. On gate departure, ground gave us 9R to hold short and contact tower. When we contacted tower we were cleared for takeoff on 9R "Wiltshire 294 heavy, cleared for takeoff on 9R, climb and maintain 9,000, continue on BPK departure, contact departure on 121.55 (Frequency for X-plane) once airborne winds at 250 with 6". When we are climbing to FL350 (35,000ft), we had a 738 at FL330, that thing got so annoying that we had to climb to FL352 (35,200ft) apparently it was going to turn to a heading of 045 and descend to FL180 to intercept the ILS at 4,000ft. On landing, they vectored us out to the west side of the airport to intercept the glide slope. On final approach, we had a 762,744,787 and a 772 on our 6 o'clock position, at the last 200 feet I set the throttles to idle then, I flared, I think that was by far the shortest flare in my aviation career, but the landing was greasy. When I was taxiing of the runway, the giant 744 (Boeing 747-400) just landed and the amount of wake turbulence that plane produced was gigantic. When we parked at the gate it was a very routine shutdown. At the Hyatt hotel in New Dehli, this has been an awesome trip! Thanks for taking the time to read this, clear skies and tailwinds.
